UMS is built upon the foundation of hope and possibility. We envision a world full of confident life-long learners who contribute to their communities with compassion and curiosity. Since 1978, we have provided an opportunity for over 1,000 students to experience exactly that. We have spent 45 years creating a vibrant community that stretches across state lines and even across continents.

A large part of how we have been able to support so many young learners and their families is our scholarship fund. And no one was a bigger advocate for that fund than our very own Nancy Corwith. Nancy spent the past 11 months fighting leukemia with everything in her and passed peacefully on November 12, 2023. In honor of her commitment to both this fund and to our school and community, we are officially launching the Nancy Corwith Memorial Scholarship Fund. 

With values of community, curiosity and thoughtfulness at the forefront of what we do, it seems only natural to name this fund after a woman who fostered those three things during her 30+ years here at UMS. She loved UMS, and she loved all of your children. Making a donation to her fund will not only honor Nancy’s memory but also allow us to carry on her life’s work — making Montessori education accessible to as many families as possible.
